Despite the walk up to the top flat it provides a perfect place to reside and allows you to escape Zagreb. The fact that there are a a few flights of stairs to get to the apartment it provides it own natural security. There is a supermarket and bakery down the road to stock the apartment and is about 20 mins walk into the main city square (that\'s if you want to walk) - it\'s about 5 mins by tram. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to go to Zargreb again.close

I had heard that Zagreb was a bit of a bore before I visited so had no real expectations. But, it wasnt quite so bad. Sure theres not a whole load of sights and activities, but the cafe scene is great and pleanty of shopping to keep you busy. Zagreb was surprisingly quite happening and apparently I came on a Monday night which was non-party night but there were still heaps of people around. I thought the food was really good. I thought the food was really good. The dude at the hostel told me to go to this restaurant/cafe type place called something Auria, sorry I can't remember the name, it's under the furnicular near Mango clothing store. And next to the Mango store is a really nice cake store there and order the Kremenista, get the Zagreb one, it's way nicer than the other flavours. The hot chocolate there is interesting so give that a try. As for museums, I thought the Naive Art museum was the best. I think two days is really enough in Zagreb, I would recommend going on side trips if your stay is longer.close

Zagreb was a really gorgeous little city which most people skip out in the rush to get to the Croatian coast. I say spend one night in Zagreb and you can see the majority of the town. Spend 2 nights and you can hit a few museums as well, which is well worth it. I say spend one night in Zagreb and you can see the majority of the town. Spend 2 nights and you can hit a few museums as well, which is well worth it. It's a very cosmopolitan little city, so don't go expecting any bargain shopping or anything. If you aren't heading further south into Croatia then a day trip to the Plitvice Lakes is also a good idea.close

Zagreb is much cooler than the tour books say. Though I wouldn't say that you need to spend a whole lot of time there, it's good to spend a couple of days. 4Great directions! Owner could not have been more helpful with regards to suggestions and maps etc. Room was great value for money! Not much more than the Hostel across the road.

Pekas apartments 85%
Apartments were clean, within walking distance of trams and food, and located in the center of town. Would definately recommend

2As good as some 5 star boutique hotels I've stayed in. Pekas was a really nice guy too. I cannot recommend these brilliant apartments enough! A+

5Lovely flat!! Nearly all confort is there : A/C, dishwasher... Good communication with the lady who is hiring it. Unfortunately it is located at the 4th floor without lift. And also the shower needs to be mended, also it still can be used. But as a whole very nice place to stay!!

Hotel Fala 82%
The staff spoke fluent English and were very helpful. The hotel is outside the city centre but is on the main bus route from the airport to the city centre. On arrival at the hotel I was given a discount on the original price of the double room as I was staying on my own.

1its a hotel, your not gonna have much fun there, but the beers are pretty cheap and you can buy them pretty much all night... its a good place to chill out for a night or 2, especially if you have 2 people with, if you're by yourself its kind expencive

Well im pretty sure that is not a hostel but mostely a cheap hotel, the location is terrible, its very hard to go to the city at night, you for sure will need a taxi and during a day you need the bus and the train, that will take probably like 45 min to one hour, so if youre looking for a hostel...

1I had to move to another room tree times due to water in the shower box was not running to the wasting ot not water in the duche... also in the third one I had problem... there was noone during the night I had shower to bring me the otehr room key and I had to go to the receotion wearing just a...
